    What are the eligibility requirements to obtain a PMP® certificate?

    To be eligible for the PMP® certification from PMI, you must meet one of the following sets of criteria:


    Option 1: With a Four-Year Degree (e.g., bachelor’s or global equivalent)

    • Project Management Experience: At least 36 months (3 years) of leading projects within the past 8 years.

    • Project Management Education: 35 hours of project management training or education.

    Option 2: With a High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree

    • Project Management Experience: At least 60 months (5 years) of leading projects within the past 8 years.

    • Project Management Education: 35 hours of project management training or education.

    Here's a step-by-step overview of the PMP application process through PMI:
    1. Check eligibility - Ensure you meet education and experience requirements.
    2. Create a PMI Account – Register at PMI.org
    3. Submit Your Application – Include education, experience, and this course’s certificate
    4. Application Review & Audit – Provide documentation if selected for audit.
    5. Pay the Exam Fee: PMI Members: $405 USD, Non-members: $555 USD
    6. Schedule Your Exam – Online or in-person at Pearson VUE.
    7. Take the exam- the PMP exam includes 180 questions to be answered in 230 minutes, covering people, process and business domains.
